 We live in England but visit Cape Coral 2/3 times every year. As vacationers we eat out most nights and have sampled many, many restaurants in Cape Coral, Ft. Myers & Sanibel. We have always been a great fan of Bestcitydining so when we arive we consult bestswfloridadining.com. Rumrunners is our favourite by far. Why? The staff are friendly & professional, the ambience is at once classy but relaxed, and the food is excellent value. Sensibly, they offer half portions of many main dishes (so no wasteful "doggie bags"), and a good value childrens menu. The seafood is excellent, and the standard steak is also very good (the special steaks are also good, but absurdly large, and therefore expensive). Still waiting for the coupons to show up on swfloridarewards.com The eponymous "Rumrunners" cocktail is absolutely delicious....... We're going back again very soon. | |

I recently visited rumrunners for lunch and was disgusted. We were greeted by what appeared to be a homeless person, dressed in rags, and un-kept hair. The food was stale, and cold. When we asked the waitress, she said we could take our business elsewhere. I contacted the owner, and he said it was him that greeted my party, and he owned 3 homes, and could dress anyway he desired. I would not recommend this restaruant to anyone, and do not plan on ever going back
