Sunset Grill "What a find!"

We happened upon this quaint little restaurant out driving. It was a holiday weekend and still managed to get in without a reservation. We had researched it on bestswfloridadining.com and we had a very wonderful dinner. It wasn't cheap and we had checked swfloridarewards.com for coupons we did not find one, but it was mid-priced and delicious! I'd go back in a minute. The location gives a wonderful view of the beach during sunset, hence the name. The location is on Santiva, which is the connecting area between Sanibel and Captiva Islands. Don't drive by and miss it. It's right next to the second Lazy Flamingo restaurant. You can easily spot the Flamingo's bright pink sign. We will be sure to check bestfortmyersdining.com to see if the menu has changed.
We'll be returning again next time we come down.

We will never go to this restaurant!! We made reservations over a month ago for 9 people. The day of our reservation we called to change the number in our party to 7. The person on the phone was polite and even repeated back our name and reservation time. When we arrived there was no reservation. The host was rude and insisted we had the wrong restaurant. We know that there is another restaurant with a similar name and did not make that mistake. We showed the host that our cell phone had called his restaurant earlier that day and he still did nothing. When asked if he was going to check he said he couldn't as long as he was talking to us. Then for the next 5 minutes he still sat there. In the end the closest we got to an apology was a rude comment of 'well I'd apologize if i thought we did anything wrong'. We ended up going to The Mad Hatter. We had to come back an hour and a half later but they got us in...treated us unbelievealby great and the food was fabulous. I don't care what anyone says about the good at the Sunset Grill or the view...the service was horrible!!!!
